Las personas sordas o que no oyen bien, sordo-ciegas o con impedimentos del habla usan un TTY para escribir su conversación en el teclado a un Asistente de Comunicaciones (AC), que lee lo escrito a una persona que oye. El Asistente de Comunicaciones le hace llegar las palabras que dice la persona que oye tecleándoselas al usuario del TTY.

1. Marque el número de TTY, 711 y/o 1-866-280-2050.

2. Le contestará el Servicio de Relevo de Puerto Rico con "9234" (para identificar el AC), "F" o "M" (sexo del AC) y "NUMBER CALLING PLS GA." (ESCRIBA NÚMERO QUE DESEA LLAMAR GA) ("GA" significa "adelante").

3. Escriba el código de área y el número de teléfono que desea llamar y escriba "GA".

4. El Asistente de Comunicaciones discará el número y hará llegar la conversación a, y de, su TTY. Escriba "GA" al final de cada mensaje.

A person who is deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind, or speech-disabled uses a TTY to type his/her conversation to a Communications Assistant (CA), who then reads the typed conversation to a hearing person. The CA relays the hearing person's spoken words by typing them back to the TTY user.

1. Dial the TTY number, 711 or
1-866-280-2053.

2. Puerto Rico Relay will answer with "8234" (for CA identification), "F" or "M" (for CA gender) and "NUMBER CALLING PLS GA." ("GA" denotes "go ahead.")

3. Type in the area code and telephone number you wish to call and then type "GA."

4. The CA will dial the number and relay the conversation to and from your TTY. Type in "GA" at the end of each message.
